KNEC Releases New And Updated Examinations Timetable

KCSE candidates for 2022 are set to sit the English Paper One (Functional Skills) and Chemistry Paper One on Friday, December 2, 2022. On Monday 5th, December 2022, all candidates will sit their Mathematics Paper One and English Paper Two (Comprehension, Literary Appreciation, and Grammar).
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the final examinations timetable for 2021/2022 Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE).
According to KNEC, all Form Four candidates will sit their first examination on Monday 21st November 2022, and their last paper on Friday 23rd December 2022.
Just before the beginning of the examination, all the KCSE candidates will be undertaking rehearsals which will be held on Friday 18th November 2022.
All candidates who took classes in Arabic orals, Kenyan sign language, French, music, and German will be expected to sit their first examination on Monday 21st November 2022, which will run until Friday, November 25, 2022.
KCSE candidates for 2022 are set to sit the English Paper One (Functional Skills) and Chemistry Paper One on Friday, December 2, 2022. On Monday 5th, December 2022, all candidates will sit their Mathematics Paper One and English Paper Two (Comprehension, Literary Appreciation, and Grammar).
English Paper Three, Chemistry Paper Two, and General Science Paper One will be done the following day, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
Candidates will again sit for their Kiswahili Papers One and Two on Wednesday, December 7 followed by Mathematics paper two and Kiswahili paper Three on Thursday, December 8. Chemistry examination practical which will be done on Friday, December 9, 2022.
On the 13th Tuesday, the students will sit for CRE/IRE/HRE Paper one and Biology Paper One. CRE/IRE/HRE paper two and History and government paper one examinations will be done on Wednesday, December 14th.
The biology paper two examinations and History and Government Paper Tests will also be done on Thursday, December 15th followed by Biology practical which will be done on Friday 16th.
In the final week, the candidates will sit the General Science Paper, Geography Paper One, and Physics Paper One, on Monday, December 19. Agriculture and Business Paper One will be tackled on Tuesday, December 20.
Grade six students started their national written tests on, Monday 29th August. This is after KNEC, made available assessment materials on the portal for schools to download and administer.
Depending on preparation and readiness, some schools are set to start later. However, the dates for schools to download and upload the results stand. As per the KNEC directives on a circular, all schools have till the 9th of September to download and administer the written assessment tests.
