Dear You, Here Is A List Of Fun Places To Visit In Nairobi

Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife. The city shouts its beauty in swanky and evident elegance, from the natural wildlife habitats to the salient skyscrapers.
It offers many great times to its visitors and residents. Besides the scenic views of the city that KICC Helipad offers, there are so many exciting things to do and fun places to see.
People are always looking for fun places to visit with friends and families during the weekends in this city. The places you can visit include museums, art centers, animal orphanages, forests, and hills among other many fun activities.
Here’s a list of some of the best places you can consider visiting this weekend for a fun and quiet moment.
- JeeVanjee
located in Nairobi CBD, it is a peaceful escape just some steps away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is a serene and relaxing place to be. The recreation garden is sprinkled with impressive sculptures, leafy and shady trees, and arty benches.
The garden is especially fun when you hang out with your friends and family, it is a perfect place for a picnic as you enjoy and spend quality time with your family.
- Nairobi Safari Walk
Located close to the Nairobi animal orphanage and the main entrance of Nairobi national park, the walk is not too long for those with children. There are several animals to see and feed including pigmy hippos and the giraffes.
Taking a walking adventure in Nairobi Safari Walk is an exciting activity. It’s a wonderful way to experience African wildlife and nature on foot. It gives you an opportunity to establish a relationship with nature and wildlife and even share their paths and space.
- Ngong Hills
The Ngong Hills is about 22km southwest of the city, making it an immensely popular weekend destination for visitors. The hike up Ngong Hills starts from Ngong town at the northern foot of the hills 1961m above sea level and traverses the full range to the southern end at Kona Baridi. This takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete, depending on fitness levels.
- Mamba Village
Nairobi Mamba Village is a sanctuary for crocodiles located 12 km south of Nairobi City. The farm also houses Ostrich and is a popular destination for tourists and students. The best time to visit is during crocodile feeding time. You will be thrilled at how high giant crocs can jump to grab thrown pieces of meat oblivious of the other gaping giant crocodiles.
- Nairobi National Park
The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city center. Major wildlife attractions are the Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elands, and a diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.
It’s an awesome place to spend your weekends and houses other attractions including the Ivory burning site Monument, Nairobi Safari Walk, the Orphanage, and the walking trails at hippo pools.
- Whistling Thorns
Whistling Thorns is one hour from Nairobi overlooking the Ngong Hills in an untouristy part of the country. It is a peaceful quiet place with a swimming pool and splendid views and a bar/restaurant with home-cooked meals.
There is a golf driving range, and you can go horse riding or walk. There are plenty of birds and you may see zebras and gazelles. It is a lovely place to relax before or after your safari.
- Gp Karting
Did you know that the activity is called go-karting and not go-karting? But the name has stuck in people’s minds until it is now permanently known as gp- skating. Gp-karting is an adrenaline-filled activity whereby you get to drive an open-wheel car or quadricycle on a racing track/circuit.
The oldest and most affordable one is found in Langata. You can also go for gp skating in Athi River and Two Rivers mall.
The sport does not need you to have prior driving skills. It is better if you don’t know how to drive so that you can’t try to transfer your driving skills into gp-karting. The activity has quickly gained its pace and is now one of the best activities to do in Nairobi.
- 7d Cinema TRM
What does a perfect cinema look like? Like this!
There are 8 rooms which are enough to demonstrate without exception the best movies and not miss any premieres. Sessions start every 15 minutes, and if you come you will always be on time.
There are three rooms for watching movies in 3D, a large room for 426 spectators with an almost 18-meter-screen and 4K technology, which is twice better as HD, and a sound system Dolby Atmos.
Here you will find all genres that you can imagine, from Hollywood to European, from blockbusters to art houses, movie festivals, prereleases, and presentations with stars and celebrities.
There is also a VIP hall with 18 seats for those who want to watch the movie in comfort, a popcorn bar, a fresh juice bar, a cinema bar, and a wardrobe for the convenience of visitors.
In short, everything you want from a movie theater is here at Cinema Citi. So, welcome to the city of movies that embodies the dreams of moviegoers this weekend!
