Oh Kenyan Youth, Do Not Despair, Scream, Talk To The Streets

I understand the struggles that many Kenyan youths are facing, and I hope this poem can bring some encouragement and hope to those who are seeking to take control of their lives:

Oh Kenyan youth, do not despair,

For hope is always lingering there.

Though times are tough and jobs are few,

Your strength and courage will pull you through.

With corrupt leaders and broken dreams,

It’s hard to see what the future brings.

But hold onto hope and never let go,

For the power to change is within you, you know.

Remember the greats who came before,

Those who fought for justice and so much more.

Thomas Sankara, Steve Biko, and Matiba too,

Their spirits live on and inspire you.

Take to the streets and raise your voice,

Demanding change, with passion and poise.

For a better tomorrow is within your reach,

And together, your power and strength will teach.

Do not be afraid to stand up and fight,

For your future and your dreams, with all your might.

With hope in your hearts and fire in your souls,

You can create a future that’s bright and bold.

So Kenyan youth, go forth and strive,

For a better tomorrow, for a better life.

And know that you have the strength and power,

To change your world, to make it flower.
