NCBA Holds The 8Th Leg Of NCBA Golf Series In Uganda

NCBA Uganda hosted the 8th leg of the NCBA Golf Series at the Uganda Golf Series over the weekend. The event brought together more than 200 young and vibrant golfers who took the greens with the hope of slots in the grand finale set for Nairobi, Kenya.

The event marked the second Golf Series NCBA was holding in Uganda this year. In April 2023, the third edition of the NCBA Uganda Junior Golf Open was launched.

The Junior Golfers tournament was aimed at providing a platform for young golfers to showcase their skills and compete against their peers within and without the region.

The event brought together the directors of the lender; Mark Muyobo, the Managing Director of NCBA Uganda, Claver Serumaga, from NCBA Tanzania, Gift Shoko, the NCBA Group Director of Regional Business, and Tirus Mwithiga, NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking.

The winners of the tournament will fly to Nairobi for the grand finale to compete with others who have been honing their skills through the various NCBA Golf series across the country including at Karen Country Club and Kakamega.

In line with the bank’s Change The Story initiative, at least 100 trees were planted at Uganda Golf Club. Funds were also raised to plant 1,000 more trees in an effort to “make a greener and healthier future.”
