The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its portal for students seeking to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In a statement released by KUCCPS, the purpose of the placement is to fill limited admission slots. Additionally, the portal will remain open until the available slots are filled on a first-come basis.

KUCCPS also noted that the vacancies were created by students who failed to report after registering in an earlier exercise. Those who wish to join KMTC have been advised to apply via their official portal students.kuccps.net.

“KUCCPS invites applications from eligible and qualified secondary school graduates for placement to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC),” the statement read in part.

However, KUCCPS did not clarify how many slots were available and its selection criterion.

In October, KUCCPS announced the results of the second Kenya Medical Training College course application, KMTC. KUCCPS  stated that the applicants had already been informed of their results through SMS notifications. They also issued a guideline on how the applicants could view their results.

“The results of the second KMTC application are out. Please log in to your portal via http://students.kuccps.net to check the status of your application. Applicants have been notified by SMS,” they said.

KUCCPS opened its portal for students who missed out on KMTC placement On September 12. The placement service emphasized that it would conduct a review of choices for students who had applied for KMTC courses through KUCCPS

“Applied for KMTC courses through KUCCPS but missed? Log in to http://students.kuccps.net and choose another KMTC course, free of charge. Eligible students have been urged to visit the KUUCPS portal; http://kuccps.ac.ke for more information.” The notice reads.

The extension also gives students more time to make informed decisions about their future studies, by choosing related courses which they would like to pursue.

Some of the courses offered range from certificates and diplomas. Certificate courses include Medical Engineering, Health Records and Information Technology, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Community Health, Nutrition, and Dietetics.

Some of the Diploma courses one can apply for include; Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiography and Imaging, Health Counselling, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Community Health.
