TSC Announces Internship Vacancies, Requirements, Deadline And Salaries

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 78 non-teaching internship vacancies in nine different departments within its secretariat.

On Wednesday, November 29th, in an advertisement released, the commission specified that these internship roles would span from ten to twelve months.

“In line with Government Internship Policy and Guidelines for the Public Service, the Commission intends to offer internship opportunities to qualified youth in various areas of specialization to gain practical work experience which will improve their competencies and competitiveness in their career life.” The advert reads in part.

According to TSC, the successful candidates will be stationed either at the TSC Headquarters or County offices. While the positions are non-remunerative, selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Kshs. 25,000.

All applicants must possess valid personal accident insurance to cover personal risks during the internship. Besides, interns are required to have valid personal medical insurance for the internship’s duration.

Finance and Accounts 10 vacancies 12 months:

  1. Human Resource Management & Development 24 vacancies 10 months
  2. Information Communication Technology (ICT) 16 vacancies 10 months
  3. Records Management 16 vacancies 10 months
  4. Statistician 4 vacancies 10 months
  5. Corporate Affairs 3 vacancies 10 months
  6. Supply Chain Management Services 2 vacancies 10 months
  7. Counsellor 2 vacancies 10 months
  8. Legal, Labour & Industrial Relations 1 vacancy 10 months.

Basic requirements

Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience: –

  1. Information Communication Technology

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Computer Technology, Software Development, Information Security and forensics, and other recognized Bachelor’s of Science ICT Courses.

  1. Records Management

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Records and Archives Management/Library Science or a Bachelor of Technology in Information Studies, Knowledge of Electronic Documents and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) will be an added advantage, knowledgeable and working experience in Computerized Office Applications.
