Airtel Money Kenya has launched a campaign dubbed ‘Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign’, through which its customers will be refunded their withdrawal transaction fees as Airtime.

Airtel Money customers who withdraw as little as Kes 50 from any Airtel Money agent will be refunded their withdrawal transaction fees. The refund applies to any withdrawal charge up to the maximum daily limit of Kshs 250,000 per day.

For example, a customer withdrawing Kes 1,000 incurs a Kes 25 withdrawal charge. Under the Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign, customers will now receive Kes 25 as Airtime, which they can use for airtime, data bundles, or SMS.

“The new ‘Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign’ cements our commitment to designing products and solutions that serve multiple payment needs of the user in the market. We believe that the campaign will go a long way to cater to the needs of Kenyans who rely on cash for their daily transactions, helping them stay connected while saving them money,” said Airtel Networks Kenya Limited Managing Director, Ashish Malhotra, during the launch of the campaign.
