The announcement comes at a time when there are calls from different corners for Kenyans to embrace the savings culture to secure their financial future when they will finally retire. Kenya’s savings culture is still at infantry stage with Uganda and Tanzania being ahead.

To help Kenyans save more, a law was passed to up the NSSF rates (enhanced rates) so that Kenyans can have something tangible to lean on when the time to exit the revenue generating job comes.
