LG Predicts Strong Growth in Kenya’s Premium TV Market, Unveils 100-Inch LG QNED Mini-LED evo

LG Electronics (LG) projects 1% growth in Kenya’s premium television market over the next year, driven by rising demand for high-end home entertainment. This momentum mirrors the broader surge in the country’s premium electronics sector, driven by higher disposable incomes, the sophistication of consumer preferences, and a strong appetite for cutting-edge technology.
Kenya’s high-end electronics sector has seen strong momentum in recent years, buoyed by a growing middle and upper-income consumer base. The country’s consumer electronics market is projected to generate US $3.64 billion (KES 477 billion) in 2025, representing a 6.6% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2030. Within this, the television segment alone is set to contribute US $131.8 million (KES 17 billion) in 2025, with volumes expected to approach 980,000 units sold by 2029.
Customers are increasingly seeking products that combine superior performance, refined aesthetics, and energy efficiency, a shift amplified by the rise in demand for immersive entertainment experiences in homes, luxury hospitality venues, and premium commercial spaces. Kenyan consumers are increasingly opting for smart TVs with internet connectivity, reflecting the country’s growing demand for online streaming and digital content.
Against this backdrop, LG today unveiled the 100-inch LG QNED Mini-LED evo TV, a flagship model that matches the premium TV demand by customers in Kenya. Designed to deliver cinematic 4K visuals, immersive sound, and next-generation smart features, the LG QNED evo transforms everyday viewing into a world-class experience.
“The LG QNED mini-LED evo 100-inch TV sets a new benchmark for premium home entertainment in Kenya. Its refined design and unmatched viewing experience make this TV for customers who value world-class perfection,” said Donghun Lee, LG’s President for East Africa.
