Public Voting is LIVE for the BAKE Awards 2025

The Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) is absolutely thrilled to announce that public voting for the BAKE Awards 2025 is officially open.
The BAKE Awards have become the annual cornerstone of Kenya’s digital space. This year’s journey to the nominees’ list was intense.
The process kicked off in September 2025 with a massive call for submissions. Due to the overwhelming public interest, we happily extended the submission deadline to October 23rd, 2025. After that final cut-off, a panel of experts began the meticulous review of all entries. They used strict criteria to vet for creativity, consistency, impact, relevance, and authenticity, ensuring that only the most outstanding creators made it onto this final, prestigious list.
The 2025 Judging Panel
We assembled a group of industry giants to handle the intense judging process, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation based on high standards of excellence and diversity.
This year’s judges who helped select your digital heroes include:
- Abigail Arunga: A successful writer, author, and scriptwriter, focusing on art, pop culture, and social justice.
- Martin Mburu: A published author and university lecturer, ensuring every piece of written content meets the highest literary quality.
- Leo Mutisya: An expert in media policy and governance from the Media Council of Kenya, evaluating content based on its civic relevance, ethics, and policy issues.
- Ahmad Salim: A leading Creative Strategist focused on innovation, audience connection, and purposeful creativity.
- Cecilia Maundu: A digital rights researcher and security expert who champions safer online spaces, focusing on countering Tech-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV).
The 2025 nominees truly show off the insane talent in Kenya. From the latest in agri-tech and business hustle to lifestyle trends, entertainment, and powerful audio storytelling.
We’re kicking off voting on November 17th and it’s a tight race, running until December 2nd. Mark your calendars, because the winners will be revealed in all their glory at the legendary BAKE Awards Gala Night on December 6th in Nairobi.
