Java House Brings ‘That Kafestive Feeling’ Closer to Home with Strategic Ruaka and Eldoret Openings

Java House has expanded its footprint with the launch of two new full-service branches in Ruaka, Kiambu County, and Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. The new branches strategically position Java House at the heart of the populous Ruaka and the high-traffic corridor in Eldoret, and seek to tap into Kenya’s holiday and busiest travel season of the year.

The Eldoret branch sits along the busy Eldoret-Kisumu highway, deepening Java’s presence in the North Rift, a region known for its vibrant commercial activity and high travel traffic. The Ruaka branch, located in one of Kiambu County’s fastest-growing urban areas, responds to rising demand for quality dining spaces that blend comfort, accessibility, and a sense of community.

Speaking during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Ruaka branch at Shell Ruaka, Priscilla Gathungu, Java House Group CEO, said the two outlets reinforce the company’s continued commitment to offering high-quality dining options to a growing customer base.

“These two new branches are a testament to our commitment to serving more communities with the Java experience. Eldoret serves a critical transit corridor, and Ruaka has emerged as a vibrant hub where families and communities converge daily. By opening full-service branches here, we are extending our reach to where our customers already are,” said Ms. Gathungu.

These new additions follow the recent opening of Java House’s Mawanda branch in Kampala, Uganda, bringing the brand’s footprint to 102 outlets across East Africa, with 95 located in Kenya.

The new branches feature modern, open designs with bold patterns and a bright look, while preserving the brand’s signature African hospitality. This refreshed aesthetic builds upon the success of Java’s innovative monthly guest chef menu spotlights and special offerings, which complement classic favourites.

The openings align seamlessly with Java House’s 2025 festive season campaign, dubbed “That Kafestive Feeling,” which focuses on bringing joy, convenience, and togetherness to customers nationwide.

“This expansion comes at the perfect time, right at the heart of the festive season, allowing us to bring holiday cheer even closer as we spread that festive feeling to every community we serve. As we grow, our priority remains delivering freshly prepared meals, supporting local suppliers, creating jobs, and welcoming spaces where people can connect and share meaningful moments,” added Ms. Gathungu.

Beyond enhancing customer convenience, the new locations underscore Java House’s ongoing investment in the hospitality sector, across Kenya and the greater East Africa region, with contributions to job creation, skills development, and strengthening of local supply chains.
