LOOP Injects Ksh 2.5 Million in Restoration of Cricket Pavilion at Limuru Country Club

LOOP DFS has invested in the restoration of the cricket pavilion at Limuru Country Club, reinforcing its commitment to supporting community spaces and advancing sports development as part of its broader sustainability agenda.

The pavilion, which had weathered over time, has long served as a central hub for sporting and social activity within the Limuru community. Its restoration is expected to revive a key gathering space for players, families, and sports enthusiasts, while strengthening the club’s role as a cornerstone of local sporting life.

The investment reflects LOOP’s positioning as a lifestyle platform that goes beyond financial services to support the environments and experiences that matter to its customers.

Speaking on the investment, LOOP DFS CEO Eric Muriuki said the initiative reflects the platform’s commitment to building meaningful ecosystems around its customers.

“As a lifestyle platform, we invest in the things our customers care about, the spaces where they connect, the communities they belong to, and the experiences that shape their everyday lives. This renovation is not just about restoring a pavilion; it is about strengthening a community hub that supports sport, wellness, and shared experiences.

Whether it is through sporting infrastructure, tree planting, or broader community initiatives, our focus is on building ecosystems that are organic, sustainable, and meaningful to the people we serve.”

Limuru Country Club remains a strategic partner for LOOP, with a long-standing relationship that spans multiple initiatives including the hosting of the Launch of the 2026 LOOP Safari Gravel Series and support for grassroots sporting development. The partnership is anchored in a shared vision to grow sport, promote wellness, and strengthen community engagement.

The restoration also comes at a time when LOOP continues to expand its footprint in lifestyle and community-driven platforms, including the Safari Gravel Series, which has grown into one of the country’s most engaging cycling events, attracting thousands of participants and spectators.

Limuru club chairman Peter Kinuthia welcomed the partnership, noting the significance of the pavilion to both the sport and the wider community.

“The pavilion has always been at the heart of our sporting and social life. Its restoration is not just about rebuilding a facility, but about restoring a space where our community comes together from players and families to young people discovering the sport.

Partnerships like this ensure that these spaces continue to serve both current and future generations.”

The project forms part of LOOP’s broader sustainability approach, which places strong emphasis on social impact; investing in communities, promoting active lifestyles, and supporting platforms that bring people together. While the pavilion project is nearing completion, formal handover is expected in due course.
