M-Ajira Reassures Candidates Amid Temporary Travel Delays to Gulf Destinations

M-Ajira has moved to reassure candidates and their families following temporary delays affecting travel for some Kenyans scheduled to take up employment opportunities in the Gulf.

The platform confirmed that the delays are linked to ongoing administrative and regulatory processes within destination countries and have affected several labour mobility channels. M-Ajira, which is a product of Execuget, emphasised that the situation does not invalidate job placements already secured by candidates.

“We understand that candidates who have completed recruitment processes are eager to travel and begin their employment journeys,” the organisation said in a statement signed by Execuget Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Wanasakami . “However, certain administrative processes in destination countries are currently causing temporary delays.”

The platform said it is working closely with recruitment partners, employers, and relevant authorities to obtain clarity on travel timelines. Candidates who have completed documentation, medicals, and other required processes will remain on the deployment list once travel approvals resume.

M-Ajira added that it has strengthened candidate communication to ensure individuals affected by the delays receive timely updates and guidance.

Overseas employment continues to provide important opportunities for many Kenyan workers, and responsible labour mobility systems depend on cooperation between recruitment agencies, employers, and regulatory authorities.

The platform urged candidates to remain patient and to rely only on verified information shared through official channels. “Transparency and candidate welfare remain central to our work,” the organisation said.

M-Ajira noted that it will continue updating candidates and stakeholders as the situation develops.
