Honey Khatwani: A Man Of Integrity Paying The Price for Walking Away From Corruption

For four years, Honey Khatwani served as a director at Oki General Trading Limited, believing he was part of a legitimate business. But in 2024, after discovering that the company and its leadership — particularly Director Deepak Rajoriya — were deeply involved in tax evasion, fraudulent schemes, and outright illegalities, he made the difficult but principled decision to resign.

His resignation, however, marked the beginning of relentless harassment. Instead of correcting their ways, Oki General’s directors turned their energies towards persecuting Khatwani, targeting him and his family with false accusations, intimidation, and malicious litigation.

The most disturbing part of this saga is how far the harassment has gone. Initially, investigations into the allegations against him were concluded, and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) gave a clear instruction not to charge him. The file was closed. Yet, through what can only be described as corrupt interference and abuse of process, the case was suddenly revived, and he found himself facing criminal charges he had already been cleared of.

Today, Khatwani’s passport remains confiscated by the court, forcing him to live away from his family and endure immense personal and emotional suffering. He is trapped in endless court battles — both civil and criminal — designed not to deliver justice, but to punish him for daring to walk away from corruption.

What is happening to Honey Khatwani is nothing short of persecution. He is not the fraudster. He is not the mastermind. He is the man who saw corruption, refused to be part of it, and is now paying the price for standing on the right side of history.

This is a story that should outrage every honest Kenyan taxpayer. While the real architects of the multi-million shilling tax evasion racket continue to walk free and expand their schemes through new fronts, an innocent man is being dragged through the mud simply because he chose integrity over complicity.

Honey Khatwani deserves justice. His family deserves peace. And Kenya deserves a system that protects the innocent while punishing the true economic criminals.
