NSE 20 marginally Declined by 0.12Pc at the NSE on Wednesday

Foreign investors held both the net buying and the total market purchase positions at 73.9 percent and 69.3 percent, a slight increase from Tuesday’s trading which closed at 72.7 percent and 51.7 percent respectively.

Local investors held their position as the minority in the market as the foreign investors picked up.

Market turnover at the bourse dipped 36.3 percent to 6.4 million US Dollars, approximately 679.93 million shilling.

The NSE 20 on the other hand, declined by 0.12 percent to close at 3,674.96 million shillings from 3,679.43 million shillings on Tuesday’s trading while the NASI index went up 0.08 percent to close at 154.19 million shillings from 154.06 million shillings.

The shilling has held its position on the receiving end weakening against the dollar, the pound and the euro by 1.41 percent, 8.03 percent and 11.99 percent respectively on a year to date basis.
