Mumias Sugar Company Kicks Off The Week as The Top Gainer

Mumias Sugar Company was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange with 9.09 percent at the price of 0.60 shillings per share.

Deacons (East Africa), Home Afrika and KenolKobil gained 9.09, 7.69 and 7.07 percent at the price of 0.60, 0.70 and 15.90 shillings per share respectively while Crown Berger gained 6.92 percent at the price of 85.00 shillings per share.

The top loser of the day was Williamson Tea Kenya with 16.67 percent at the price of 145 shillings per share followed by Umeme with a loss of 10.00 percent at the price of 9.00 shillings per share.

Express, I&M Holdings, and Kapchorua Tea Kenya lost 8.89, 5.56 and 4.26 percent at the price of 4.10, 85.00 and 90.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom sold 23.27 million shares making it the top mover of the day followed by Equity Group who sold 8.40 million shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank, Kenya and Lighting Company and Co-operative Bank of Kenya sold 3.29, 3.22 and 1.09 million shares respectively.
