Sidian Bank is Revolutionalizing the Asset Finance Sector

Asset finance is the type of finance used by businesses to obtain the much needed equipment they need to grow in business.
Assets are very key to the development of any business and without them, the growth of any given business becomes stagnant.
Many entrepreneurs in Kenya have been hitting a dead end with some failing to completely take off due to the failure to own assets.
Assets are such things as computers for those in the technology sector, furniture for any given office, cars and motorbikes for those in the transport sector, farm equipment for those whose interest lies in the agricultural sector and many others.
Assets, therefore, despite the fact that most of them bring no profit to the company or business, but are channels through which profits are made.
Many financial institutions have heavily invested in financing assets for most of their customers but no bank has done that better than Sidian Bank Kenya.
The lender which was rebranded few months ago was on Wednesday awarded as the economy’s emerging bank in the support of entrepreneurs in their quest to own their tomorrow.
The bank whose slogan is Own Tomorrow has opted for the niche of entrepreneurs and small medium enterprises in funding of their projects given that almost 80 percent of people and customers are now found in the SME sector.
On Wednesday, Sidian Bank Kenya partnered with Uber Kenya in a KES 10 billion deal that would see the lender and the transport service provider have innovative vehicle solution programs for both investors and business people.
The deal is to help business people and investors to have access to affordable vehicles of between the price of one million to 1.5 million and be able to pay back in a period of 36 months at a lower and affordable interest per annum.
This partnership comes as Uber Kenya celebrated one million travels in the country since it’s entry into Kenya and taking over the taxi transport sector by storm.
Uber Kenya has revolutionized the taxi transport sector in the country through technology and the providing of affordable transport services. It is the only taxi service provider that uses online services in placing orders and receiving payments from customers.
Currently, Uber Kenya is the cheapest transport service provider in the taxi sector, something that has often created animosity between the local taxi drivers and those of Uber Kenya.
Uber thrives on technology and has created employment to most Kenyans who work as drivers and is now taking in those with personal cars.
Sidian Bank Kenya, in partnership with Uber Kenya, will now be able to provide those willing to enter into the transport business like that of Uber Kenya accessibility to affordable assets, in this case cars with an ample time to pay back.
The bank has various products that are tailored towards making sure that entrepreneurs and SMEs especially the youth in the country see their dreams come true.
“This will really help investors and those planning to venture into business. There is nothing as hard as starting a business without assets. Getting someone to finance your assets, even is a loan is something like a blessing, ” said Getrude Wivakala, a PhD Economy Student.
“I think Sidian Bank is taking over like Tsunami and soon people will restore their confidence in the so called small banks again,” she added.
