Kenya’s Politics Consistently Showing that No One Cares About You

KEY POINTS

Waking up daily to read catchy headlines revolving around political tantrums, hate speech, political arrests, maneuvers, open daylight hoodwinking, and unnecessary political rallies would make someone think that we are into an election period.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

You don’t deprive the rich in order to enrich the poor. You create opportunities for the poor to earn a living, and perhaps become rich.

There is a popular Swahili slogan that has been proven wrong in Kenya. Did someone just say ‘mapenzi yana run dunia?’  Which ‘dunia’? Maybe he was right. Yes, right in his own country Tanzania but not in Kenya. Kenya is driven by politics and just politics alone. The question as to whether Kenya is part of ‘dunia’ is subject to discussion.

Waking up daily to read catchy headlines revolving around political tantrums, hate speech, political arrests, maneuvers, open daylight hoodwinking, and unnecessary political rallies would make someone think that we are into an election period. Some politicians started off 2022 campaigns way back in 2017. The country’s political heat is now escalating even higher and things are getting messy.

The political class has been blatantly breaching COVID-19 guidelines. People are dying yet all we see are rallies everywhere. Some of them don’t even wear face masks during rallies and no one talks about it. However, the destitute get roughly handled by inhuman police officers whenever they are found not wearing masks.

So many Kenyans have been injured by rogue policemen in the name of enforcing COVID protocols. What happens to those protocols during political rallies? It’s a shame! Most politicians have openly demonstrated that all they care about is their election. No one is serving your interests. Fight for yourself. Nature does not care about humanity.

Class wars are another deadly thing that is being peddled around by some politicians. There must always be those who own means of production. You don’t deprive the rich in order to enrich the poor. You create opportunities for the poor to earn a living, and perhaps become rich.

Power is sweet. Those who have tested power can attest to this. They would do anything within their reach to get power. Never trust a Politian that presents himself as a messiah. Don’t put too much trust in a human being. It will obviously end in premium tears. Did I say every politician is a scum? NO!
