The NSE 20 and NASI dropped 33.07 points and 0.16 points respectively to stand at 4,467.36 and 153.02. Carbacid rose 7.47 percent to KES 15.10 to emerge as the day’s top gainer. BAT Kenya emerged the top loser, declining by 8.61 percent to close the day at KES 743.00.

The volume of shares traded dipped by 3.71 percent to close at 20.36mn. Total turnover dropped 3.42 percent to close at KES 461.39mn. Equity Group was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 114.52mn representing 24.82 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 76.60 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 51.48 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI declined 1.06 percent and 0.17 percent respectively to close at 1,875.29 and 332.59. A total of 86,890 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 11.78mn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI rose 0.18 percent and 0.03 percent respectively to close at 208.94 and 143.79. Total number of shares traded today was 2,300 shares. Total turnover come to a close of RWF 758,400.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI declined 0.09 percent and 0.20 percent respectively to close at 2,579.50 and 4,531.63. Dar es Salaam Community Bank went up 4.07 percent to close at TZS 640.00.Tanzania Portland cement was the top loser of the day declining by 6.71 percent to close at TZS 3,200.00. Total volumes were recorded at 76,162 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 63.21mn.
