Top Gainers, Losers and Movers at the NSE Today

Sameer Africa Limited has emerged the top gainer of the day on the Nairobi Security Exchange edging out Kapchorua Tea Company Limited which is now number five.

Sameer Africa Limited has posted a positive deviation of 10.00 percent with the price of 4.40 shillings per share. Apart from yesterday where two companies shared the top slot, today things are different as Sameer Africa Limited is the only one at the top followed by CFC Stanbic Holdings Limited which has recorded a positive deviation of 9.88 percent with the price of 89.00 shillings per share.

At the same time, Home Africa Limited has maintained its position as the top loser on a third day running. The company has been holding the position since Monday and chances are the trend could go on the whole of this week. Today, Home Africa has posted a negative deviation of 8.89 percent at the price of 2.05 shillings per share followed closely by Olympia Capital Holdings with a negative deviation of 6.67 percent and the price of 4.20 shillings per share.

Safaricom Limited has maintained its position since Monday as the top mover on the stock market. Today, the telecommunication company posted a total volume of 5.17 million and a market capital of 669.09 billion.

British American Investment Company Limited came second on the top mover scorecard with a total volume of 1.66 million and a total market capital of 26.94 billion.

Other movers of the day were Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited with a total volume of 1.08 million and a market capital of 85.81 billion, Kenya Commercial Bank Limited which had a total volume of 473,700 and a market capital of 127.05 billion and KenolKobil Limited that had a total volume of 442,600 and a market capital of 13.03 billion.
