fastjet Announces a Sale on Air Fares as it Increases flights from Nairobi to Dar

fastjet has announced a sale on tickets for its Nairobi-Dar route with one way fares starting as low as Kshs 7,700 inclusive of government taxes.
The airline which launched the Dar es Salaam to Nairobi route early January 2016 has already doubled its daily flights return flights between each city, making a total of 28 flights per week between Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport and Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport effective 21st March 2016.
At fastjet we are targeting first time flyers who would otherwise not have been able to afford to travel by air,” said Jimmy Kibati, fastjet General Manager for East Africa.
This new sale goes hand in hand with the Nairobi to dar es Salaam route promotional discount offer of USD$30 available for flights from 1st April to 30th June 2016 for bookings made until 30th of May 2016.
‘’ Our customers can now enjoy a further $30 discount from the any fares available online by booking through at www.fastjet.com and entering the promotional code – FAST30’, added Jimmy Kibati. ‘ Log on to our website and access more attractive products and fares to more fastjet destinations through Dar es Salaam’
“fastjet is fast fulfilling our promise to make air travel affordable and convenient for consumers in both Kenya and Tanzania,” he reiterated, adding that more than one third of its passengers so far have been first time flyers who are now able to afford air travel for the first time.
“Affordable air travel is fundamental for the growth of economies across the region as it facilitates regional tourism and trade hence fostering economic advancement,” says Kibati.
With the new schedule in place, morning flights will depart Dar es Salaam at 06h00 and land in Nairobi at 07h20. The return flight will take off from Nairobi at 07h50, and will land back in Dar es Salaam at 09h15.
The new evening flight will depart Dar es Salaam at 20h15 and land in Nairobi at 21h35. The return flight will depart Nairobi at 22h05 and land back in Dar es Salaam at 23h30.
The expanded schedule will result in nearly 19,000 seats each month on fastjet flights between the two cities, providing travellers with more convenient travel options at affordable fares.
This far, the impact of fastjet flights to and from Kenya has already been substantial, with other airlines flying between the two countries reducing fares by as much as 40%.
Bookings can be made online at www.fastjet.com, through fastjet approved travel agents or by contacting fastjet’s call centre on 0784 108 900. Payment for tickets can be made with cash, online with a credit card, or with mobile payments on Mpesa and Airtel Money.
