Cabbages Retailing Highest in Wajir and Lowest in Nakuru

A 126 kilogram of cabbages was being retailed at an average market price of 1,947 shillings across the country with the highest price being 2,300 shillings in Wajir and the lowest price being 1,200 shillings in Nakuru and Eldoret respectively.

Cooking bananas, on the other hand, are becoming scarce in the market which led to increased prices on a 22 kilogram. As seen in the table below, it was being sold as follows in selected towns; 1,300 in Eldoret, 5,20 shillings in Nairobi, 500 shillings in Mombasa, 400 shillings in Kitale, 350 shillings in Nakuru and 300 shillings in Kisumu.

A 64-kilogram bag of tomatoes was being sold as follows: 5,800 shillings in Eldoret, 5,600 shillings in Wajir, 5,400 shillings in Mombasa, 5,200 shillings in Nairobi, 5,000 shillings in Kitale and Kisumu respectively and 3,000 shillings in Nakuru.

Here is a summary on the same:

A 38-kilogram bag of chilies went at a high price of 4,000 shillings in Kitale and the lowest price being 1,500 shillings in Kitale. The average for the same across the country stood at 2,498 shillings.
