Dry Maize Retails Highest in Kitui and Lowest in Nakuru and Eldoret

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize is retailing highest in Kitui at 3,600 shillings and lowest in Nakuru and Eldoret at 2,500 shillings.

A 90-kilogram bag of finger millet, on the other hand, was being sold with the following market prices in selected markets: 9,600 shillings in Kisumu, 9,000 shillings in Mombasa, 8,100 shillings in Nairobi, Eldoret, and Kitui respectively, 8,000 shillings in Nakuru, 7,500 shillings in Malindi and 6,300 shillings in Kitale.

The table below gives a summary of the same in different markets across the country:

A 90-kilogram bag of Njahi is retailing with the highest market price of 13,500 shillings in Eldoret and the lowest price currently stands at 6,300 shillings in Mombasa.

A 90-kilogram bag of cowpeas, on the other hand, is having the following market price in selected markets across the country: 10,800 shillings in Kitui, 9,600 shillings in Kisumu, 8,550 shillings in Nairobi, 8,100 shillings in Mombasa and Nakuru respectively, 7,600 shillings in Malindi and 7,200 shillings in Eldoret.
