Dry Maize Retailing Highest in Kisumu and Lowest in Busia

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize is retailing highest in Kisumu at 3,600 shillings and lowest in Busia at 2,340 shillings.

A 115 kilogram of green maize on the other hand the following prices: 4,400 shillings in Mombasa, 2,500 shillings in Nairobi and Imenti respectively, 2,400 shillings in Kisumu, 2,000 shillings in Kitale, 1,800 shillings in Eldoret and 1,500 shillings in Nakuru.

The table below gives a summary of market prices for different other cereals in the market:

A 90-kilogram bag of Mwtemania beans is being sold as follows in different towns across the country: 8,100 shillings in Eldoret, 7,200 shillings in Mombasa, 7,000 shillings in Nairobi, 5,500 shillings in Kitale and 5,000 shillings in Nakuru and Imenti.

Fresh peas, on the other hand, has the following prices: 6,000 shillings in Mombasa, 4,000 shillings in Kitale and Nakuru respectively, 3,825 shillings in Busia, 2,500 shillings in Imenti, 2,400 shillings in Kisumu and Nairobi respectively and 2,250 shillings in Eldoret.

A 110-kilogram bag of Groundnuts is retailing as follows: 16,500 shillings in Busia, 14,300 shillings in Kitale, 12,200 shillings in Nairobi, 12,100 shillings in Mombasa, 12,000 shillings in Nakuru, 11,250 shillings in Eldoret and 10,000 shillings in Kisumu.
