Al-Futtaim Renews Dealership with Ford Motors

Al-Futtaim Group has renewed a five-year dealership with Ford motors in Kenya and Uganda.

The motor dealer, which recently signed another deal with Renault trucks to grow the business commercially, is currently banking on its relationship with New Holland.

“Our strategy is about finding global brands that want strong relationships with a local partner. We prefer to build strong relationships with our partner brands and use our geographical footprint to benefit both our partners and customers,” said Al-Futtaim Senior Managing Director-International, Colin Cordery.

CMC Motors Group Limited has its presence felt in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania where it prides of notable success.

It is owned by CMC Holdings Ltd and was acquired by the Al-Futtaim Group in 2014 which now seeks to expand to the rest of the region.

Kenya boasts of up to 70 percent of the dealer’s business.

AFG has evolved the image of the CMC holding brands and its customers and dealers now enjoy the experience and benefits.

“We believe that with this, the brand will grow and regain its market share in the entire region” he added Colin Cordery.

The MD also noted that CMC continues to endeavor to give the best experience to its brand partners and customers, as it builds new relationships with banking sector while improving on their technology, operating model, and other basic business processes.

“Our plan is to make sure we are delivering the best possible experience to our customers, for both luxury and commercial vehicles which drive our strategy in the region” concluded Cordery..
