Uchumi Supermarket Emerges As Top Loser of The Day

Uchumi Supermarket was the top loser during the session at the NSE on Wednesday with 9.52 percent at the price of 0.95 shillings per share.

Williamson Tea Kenya and Trans-Century lost 8.97 and 8.82 percent at the price of 142.00 and 3.10 shillings per share respectively.

Nairobi Business Ventures and TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) lost 8.57 and 4.00 percent at the price of 1.60 and 24.00 shillings per share respectively.

I & M Holdings was the top gainer of the day with 10.00 percent at the price of 99.00 shillings per share followed by Stanlib Fahari Income-REIT with a gain of 9.69 percent at the price of 10.75 shillings per share.

Kenya Airways, Mumias Sugar Company, and Co-operative Bank Kenya gained 9.68, 9.09 and 8.93 percent at the price of 8.50, 0.60 and 15.85 shillings per share respectively.

Equity Group displaced Safaricom PLC to emerge as the top mover after selling 8.49 million shares with Safaricom coming in second with 2.70 million shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank, Kenya Re-Insurance and Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 2.35, 2.11 and 1.72 million shares respectively.
