Umeme Kicks Off The Week as Top Gainer Of The Day

Umeme kicked off the week as the top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange with 4.76 percent at the price of 11.00 shillings per share.

The second top gainer was Centum Investments with 4.35 percent at the price of 30.00 shillings per share followed by Stanbic Holdings with 4.17 percent at the price of 100.00 shillings per share.

HF Group and KenolKobil gained 3.85 and 3.03 percent at the price of 6.75 and 17.00 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

Bamburi Cement was the top loser of the day. The cement manufacturer lost 9.44 percent at the price of 163.00 shillings per share.

Trans-Century was the second top loser of the day with 8.86 percent at the price of 3.60 shillings per share.

Britam Holdings and Deacons (East Africa) lost 8.82 and 6.67 percent at the price of 10.85 and 0.70 shillings per share respectively while Total Kenya lost 6.67 percent at the price of 28.00 shillings per share.

Top Movers

The top mover of the day was Barclays Bank of Kenya who sold 2.13 million shares followed by Equity Group who sold 943,800 shares.

Safaricom PLC and Carbacid Investments sold 773,100 and 587,400 shares while Mumias Sugar Company sold 538,900 shares.
