Trans-Century Ushers In Moi Day By Emerging as Top Gainer At NSE on Tuesday

The top gainer of the day at Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tuesday was Trans-Century with 9.84 percent at the price of 3.35 shillings per share.

Mumias Sugar Company, Total Kenya and Home Afrika gained 9.09, 8.11 and 6.67 percent at the price of 0.60, 30.00 and -.80 shillings per share respectively. Eveready East Africa gained 5.00 percent at the price of 1.05 shillings per share.

Centum Investments Company was the top loser of the day. The company lost 6.42 percent at the price of 25.50 shillings per share followed by Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT with a loss of 5.97 percent at the price of 9.45 shillings per share.

WPP ScanGroup, Kapchorua Tea Kenya and Kenya Airways 5.00, 4.71 and 4.56 percent at the price of 14.25, 81.00 and 11.50 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom after selling 3.53 million shares followed by NIC Bank who sold 1.00 million shares.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company, Home Africa and Equity Group sold 816,400, 356,700 and 320,000 shares respectively.
