Umeme Emerges As Top Gainer Of The Day At The NSE on Thursday

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was Umeme with 9.46 percent at the price of 8.10 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with 9.09 percent at the price of 0.60 shillings per share.

Centum Investments Company, Sasini Tea and Coffee and Longhorn Kenya 7.41, 5.26 and 5.26 percent at the price of 29.00, 20.00 and 5.00 shillings per share respectively.

Mumias Sugar Company was the top loser of the day with 7.69 percent at the price of 0.60 shillings per share followed by Eveready East Africa with a loss of 7.14 percent at the price of 1.30 shillings per share.

HF Group, East African Breweries, and Kenya Commercial Bank lost 2.86, 2.30 and 1.31 percent at the price of 5.10, 170.00 and 37.75 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom Plc, Kenya Commercial Bank and Equity Group sold 47.50, 7.91, and 5.93 shares respectively while KenolKobil and Co-operative Bank sold 3.35 million and 326,400 shares respectively.
