Accident Alert: 3 KDF Soldiers Confirmed Dead Along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway

Salama police station is reporting self involved fatal Road Traffic Accident involving kenya defense forces motor vehicle registration number 99KA 60 Make isuzu FTS that driven by one officer namely Falil that occurred today 23/12/2018 at about 1110hrs along Mombasa – Nairobi highway at Mlima Kiu area at about 2km south of the station.

The said motor vehicle belongs to Mariakani barracks that was coming from Nairobi general direction towards Mombasa general direction on reaching at the location of the accident the driver lost control of the vehicle veered off the road and rolled severally before landing on a ditch on the left side facing Nairobi general direction.

As a result of the accident the following officers were fatally injured:

(1) private Boniface Chitechi Shisia aged 29

(2) Mohamed Kombe Kaingu aged 39

The following officers were seriously injured:

(1) Njunguna

(2) Gitonga

(3) Gichimo

(4)maingi

(5) makhoya

(6) Falil while one was slightly injured namely Michael Mwanzia.

The scene visited by Salama traffic traffic section personnel. The injured were rushed to Machakos level five hospital and all are admitted in a serious condition.
