Releasing the results at the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Headquarters, Education CS Amina Mohamed said girls performed better in English, Kiswahili, CRE, Home Science, Art and Design and Metal Works.

Just like 2017, the top candidate in 2018 was female from Pangani Girls. Pangani Girls now goes down in history for producing a top student for two years running.

A total of 90,377 candidates scored grades C+ and above an indication of a similar number qualifying for direct admission to the university.

100 candidates have had their results canceled with results from some centers withheld by KNEC.
