Margaret Kilelu Omollo, a nurse at Amref has been found in critical condition at the Coast General Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after she went missing in Nairobi on 21st February 2019.

Margaret, a mother of two, was last seen walking out of Tena Estate, at around 10 in the morning, wearing a long grey dress and a black jacket. It remains unclear how Margaret ended up in Mombasa and what led to her losing her consciousness.

Margaret was found in a dera (long loose dress associated with the Swahili culture) despite donning a grey dress at the time she went missing.

“She left her house on Thursday around 10 am and we don’t understand how she got to Mombasa. It is said that she was admitted on Saturday but no one can tell us what happened in the two days,” a family member said adding that before the disappearance, she had been hospitalized at Kenyatta National Hospital with a depression-related disease.

A Good Samaritan found Margaret near a petrol station in Bamburi and reported the incident to the Kadzandani Police Station. The Coast General Hospital staff have declined to reveal the good Samaritan’s information.

Margaret’s ordeal comes a few months since the demise of her husband, a trichologist and the Nairobi Trichology and Hair loss Centre CEO Dr.Stephen Omollo.

Margaret had no injuries according to Doctors at the Coast Health facility.
