Laikipia’s Governor Ndiritu Tours Hospitals as Normalcy Returns

Normalcy has returned in Laikipia’s healthcare system with patients currently enjoying services that had been previously interrupted with the Doctors strike.

Laikipia County Governor, on the morning of 3^rd July 2019, paid an impromptu visit to one of the County’s major hospitals, Nanyuki Teaching and Referral, to check on the status of service delivery and assured the residents that the healthcare system is on the right path.

Data from Nanyuki Hospital revealed that the health facility attended to 531 patients yesterday, on 2^nd July 2019 alone.

The Governor interacted with the doctors and medical personnel who were on a training session from a visiting scholar of Medicine, Professor David Hill, from Quinnipiac University Frank Netter School of Medicine- Connecticut USA.

Professor David Hill has been in Laikipia conducting studies and training sessions for medical staff in a number of areas in Public Health.

Healthcare services have also returned to normalcy in Lamuria sub-county hospital where the Laikipia Governor visited on the 2^nd of July with his Senate Health Committee chair amongst other County leaders.

The Laikipia Governor visited to check on the functionality of the newly constructed Lamuria theatre in Lamuria sub-county hospital.

The Laikipia Governor got to a one on one chat with the patients who were waiting for their turn to be attended and thanked them for their continued support while reassuring them of his commitment to deliver on his manifesto of development.

As patients trickled into various health facilities in the County, it was obvious that the storm was now behind them.
