East African Cables Kicked Off The Week As Top Gainer Of The Day

Monday saw the East African Cables carrying the day as the top gainer of the day with 9.65 percent at the price of 2.84 percent followed by Uchumi Supermarket with 9.38 percent at the price of 0.35 shillings per share.

Bamburi Cement was the third top gainer with 8.33 percent at the price of 87.75 shillings per share followed by Longhorn Publishers with 4.82 percent at the price of 7.40 shillings per share.

Eveready East Africa closed the top 5 gainers of the day table with 4.76 at the price of 1.10 shillings per share.

The top losers of the day were led by Olympia Capital with a loss of 7.79 percent at the price of 2.25 shillings per share followed by Kapchorua Tea Kenya with a loss of 4.00 percent at the price of 72.00 shillings per share.

Safaricom maintained its position as the top mover of the day after moving a total of 3.34 million shares during the session at a market capitalization of 1.16 trillion.

Equity Group was the second top mover with 1.64 million shares sold during the session at a market capitalization of 185.10 billion.

Co-operative Bank was the third top mover of the day with 1.55 million shares at a market capitalization of 85.66 billion.

Britam Holdings and Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 536,500 and 265,500 shares respectively.
