Super Sunday Results: Gor Hammers Leopards, Liverpool Shocks Man City

The weekend was loaded with some exhilarating performances in most football competitions.
If you might have missed the actions, the results were quite outstanding for some teams while others were left with a lot to put up with.
Gor Mahia triumphed over Leopards, Liverpool thrashed man City and Juventus Star Cristiano Ronaldo got angered when he was substituted for the second time in a row when Juventus played against AC Milan on Sunday (10/11/2019).
Mashemeji Derby Results: Gor Mahia 4-1 AFC Leopards
The Mashemeji derby ended up with Gor Mahia thrashing 4-1 over their close rivals AFC leopards to climb to the top of the Kenya Premier League table.
Gor Mahia has maintained an unmatched dominance against most KPL teams and this was proved yesterday when Gor Mahia played Leopards at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday (10/11/2019).
The match kick-started on a dull mode but later gained momentum after the first half break.
The first half ended on a goalless draw but Gor Mahia went into the second half and unleashed their hidden claws, ready to pounce on their eternal rivals mercilessly.
Ivorian Gnamien Yikpe scored twice and he was joined by his teammates Clifton Miheso and Lawrence Juma who scored a goal each to hand Gor a 4-1 win against Leopards. Ingwe’s consolation goal was scored by Tresor Ndikumana.
The result now means that Gor Mahia is at the top of the table with 18 points and is followed closely by Kakamega Homeboyz, Tusker FC and Mathare United who have 17 points each.
The 2019/2020 season looks tough as the teams at the top of the table have very few points separating them.
KPL leaders Gor Mahia have only played seven games this season giving them an advantage over close competitors as most teams have played nine games.
PL: Liverpool 3-1 Manchester City
Liverpool has broken loose in the race for Premier League title this season after they thrashed 3-1 over defending champions Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday (10/11/ 2019).
Goals from Fabinho, Mohammed Salah and Sadio mane handed Liverpool a resounding win over Manchester City who have been their fiercest rivals in PL history.
After winning against Man City, Liverpool are now eight points clear at the top of the table with 34 points. Leicester city and Chelsea are tying at position two with 26 points while City are fourth placed with 25 points.
Serie A: Cristiano Ronaldo substituted again in Juventus 1-0 win against AC Milan
Cristiano looked extremely disappointed when he was substituted for the second consecutive time when Juventus played against AC Milan on Sunday (10/11/2019).
Ronaldo had played for only 55 minutes but Maurizio Sarri substituted him for Paulo Dybala who came in and scored the only goal of the game.
When he was asked why he substituted Ronaldo for the second consecutive time, Sarri said that Ronaldo has not been fit after he suffered a knee injury during training.
“We must thank Ronaldo, because he made a sacrifice to be there at all tonight in a difficult situation,” Sarri said in a statement.
“He did everything possible to play, but I saw he was not well and thought it best to take him off. It’s only natural a player is going to be irritated to leave the pitch, especially when he worked so hard to be there.
“Over the last month, he has had this little knee problem, he had a knock in training and it hurt the collateral ligament. When he trains at high intensity or plays, it unbalances him, so he ends up overcompensating and it damages the calf and thigh muscles,” Sarri added.
The obviously annoyed Ronaldo, left the pitch straight to the changing room and sources revealed that he even left the stadium before the final whistle was blown to mark the end of the match.
