Coronavirus Could Kill 10 Million People ~ Bill Gates

BY Juma · February 17, 2020 08:02 am

The deadly Coronavirus is likely to kill 10 million people in Africa according to Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Bill Gates sentiments about the mass deaths of 10 million Africans as a result of Coronavirus comes a few days after the first case in Africa was confirmed in Cairo, Egypt.

Bill Gates says the Coronavirus will overwhelm health facilities in Africa triggering an outbreak of an epidemic that could kill more than 10 million people.

The sentiments of Bill Gates are scary given the rate at which the deadly virus is killing people in China, meaning it will be like a holocaust in Africa.

African countries do not have what it takes

The majority of African countries do not have what it takes in terms of health facilities and labs to handle the outbreak of Coronavirus. The countries are poor and do not have experts who can handle the virus.

“Some countries like Kenya are still struggling with malaria epidemic in Baringo County that is killing people, mostly women and children. If we cannot handle malaria, what makes you think we can handle Coronavirus?” Said one health expert who did not want to be mentioned.

According to health experts, high levels of misdiagnosis among most health facilities in Africa will play a major role in the spread of Coronavirus, given the fact that the virus first manifests itself as a common cold.

Coronavirus continues to sweep across China

Coronavirus has so far killed more than 1,700 people in China with two cities of Wuhan and Hopei province being the most hit.

The total number of those infected by Coronavirus in China has moved past 75,000. (The exact number is not known with Beijing being blamed for trying to hide the exact number of deaths and infections)

A total of 27 countries have been affected by Coronavirus with the latest being Egypt and the first in Africa.
