How To Subscribe To Safaricom’s Revamped Postpay Service

Safaricom’s revamped postpay is now easier and faster to subscribe after the telecom removed some of the long processes involved in joining the service.

When postpay was launched, a lot of people linked the service to rich people for a long time since you needed a deposit to join the service.

Unlike before, when you needed to visit a Safaricom shop, fill a subscription form and attach a bunch of documents, all you have to do now is dial *544#.

To subscribe using *544#:

Step 1: Dial *544# and in the first pop-up window, you will see the “Join PostPay” package option on number 4. Select it.

Step 2: After you have selected it, the next pop-up window will give you three options, and in this case, select option 1 which requires you to enter your preferred monthly limit.

Step 3: Enter a limit of between 1,000 and 10,000 shillings.

Step 4: The next prompt will ask for your email. Enter it and send it.

Step 5: The next prompt on your screen will require you to accept the terms and conditions of the service. Press option 1 to proceed.

Once you have selected proceed, you will receive a notification of receiving a bundle as per the limit you selected in the previous prompt.

To increase your Limit:

Step 1: Dial *544# and select option 2 to set your own limit.

Step 2: A pop-up window will prompt you to select the first option where you key in your preferred monthly limit for example, 3,000 shillings.

You will then be required to enter your email, select proceed, select the plan using the prompts and receive your upgrade.

To Check Postpay plans without purchasing:

Checking the plans without needing to purchase a plan involves the same steps in subscribing for the postpay option, except, instead of selecting a plan, press option Number 5 to Proceed without buying plans.
