List Of Areas To Face Blackout On Monday, 18th May 2020 -Kenya Power

Kenya Power and Lighting Company have lately been known for regular blackouts which often when heavy rains occur with the country having experienced a nationwide blackout for several hours barely a week ago.
The Kenya Power and lighting company have announced that a number of Counties will experience blackout tomorrow Monday the 18th of May 2020 and should hence brace themselves as the company seeks to do some repairs.
The counties scheduled to experience power blackout areas listed below:
1.KIRINYAGA COUNTY
In Kirinyaga County, areas set to be interrupted are Kerugoya Town, Kagumo, Gichugu, Kangata, and Mutitu as from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
The parts in Kirinyaga county that will face the effect are Kerugoya Town, Parts of Kutus Town, Gichugu, Kangaita Tea Factory, Kabare Girls, Kimunye Tea Factory, Thiba Dam, Thumaita Tea Factory, Kiburia Girls, Kianyaga Water Treatment, Kiangwenyi Market, Kiang’ombe Market, Muchagara Market, Kamweti, Kirima Dairy, Kerugoya Hospital, Mutitu Market, Kagumo Market, Mutira Girls, Gitwe, Kabonge Market, Riakiania Market, Karia Market, and adjacent customers.
2.MERU COUNTY
The regions in Meru County that will face the blackout are Kianjai, Ngundune, Kairone, Charuru as from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
The following areas in Meru County will experience a power blackout: Kianjai Market, Ngundune Market and Police Station, Mwerondu, Mweronkanga, Athambu, Michii-Mikuru Tea Factory and Market, Tigania Mission Dispensary, Kirima, Nchiuma AP Camp, Kairone Market, Mtioichuri Dispensary, Charuru Market and adjacent customers.
3.NANDI COUNTY
Regions that will experience a blackout in Nandi County are Tinderet and Chepkemel areas from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and the areas that shall be affected include Tinderet Tea Factory, Mbogo Valley, Cheptonon, Mbogo Valley Dispensary, Salgaa Centre, Tinderet Safaricom Booster, Chepkemel Telkom Booster, Chepkemel Dispensary, and adjacent customers
4.VIHIGA COUNTY
Regions that will experience power interruption in Vihiga County include Kima Market, Emusire and Emuhaya as from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.
The areas that will be affected by the power interruption include Maseno Water, Mwichio Market, Kima Mission, Kima Market, Esikulu Market, Ematioli, Emanyinya, Emusire Hospital, Esunza, Emuhaya Hospital, Emuhaya CC Office, Ibubi, Wemilabi Safaricom Booster, Maseno Coptic Hospital, Ebusakami, and adjacent customers
5.NYAMIRA COUNTY
In Nyamira County regions such as Nyabikomu, Egentubi and Engenta will experience a power blackout as from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm with areas such as Nyabikomu Health Centre, Engetubi Secondary School, Egentubi Village, Nyabikomu Village, and Primary school, Engenta Village and adjacent customers to also be affected.
6.HOMA BAY COUNTY
In Homabay county, Mbita, Kombe, and Kirindo will suffer the power blackout from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm with power supply in Mbita, Rusinga Island, Kombe, Kisui, Ang’iya Dispensary, Kirindo and adjacent customers not being spared.
