How To Apply For 11,000 Vacancies Announced By TSC

The Teachers Service Commission announced on September 1, 2020, that it was looking forward to recruiting over 11,574 teachers in a mass exercise.
According to TSC, 5,000 vacancies in public primary and secondary schools to support the 100 percent transition.
The commission also advertised 5,474 vacancies for primary and 1,100 vacancies for Secondary Schools to replace teachers who exited the service.

According to the TSC, all applications should be submitted on the commission’s website www.tsc.go.ke, under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than September 14, 2020.
The commission added that the qualification requirements for the jobs advertised are that one must be a Kenyan citizen, must be a holder of at least a Diploma in Education, and must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.
All applicants are warned about filling more than one employment form, filling of two or more application for employment forms will lead to disqualification, and TSC added that manual applications will not be accepted.
The Teachers Service Commission said that the recruitment exercise is free of charge but before you can apply, you will have to register for an account on the TSC website
How To Register For An account On TSC Website
To register for a TSC Number as a teacher, the applicant is required to visit www.tsc.go.ke, and select the Online Services tab, on the dropdown list, select Teachers Online Services.
In the resultant screen, on the Registration tab, click on the New Teacher Registration for Citizens or Teacher Registration for Non-Citizens.
You will be directed to the signup page where you will be expected to enter the requirements including the ID number or passport, surname, personal mobile number, KRA Pin, KCSE Grade, category, Year one sat for KCSE, and confirmation that you are a registered trained teacher.
An applicant will also have to input basic details including the permanent and current address. Once done with that, you will have to upload all the certificates i.e. primary certificate, secondary certificate, and tertiary certificates.
Fill in the details and choose the respective certificate to upload and click save Documents.
In the next step, the applicant is required to upload the following documents:
ID/ Passport
KRA pin
Payment evidence
GP 69 medical letter
Certificate of good conduct
Transcripts in one pdf
Passport photo
Affidavit if any of the names differ or miss in the documents
Certificate for persons with disability
The summary page can be printed for record-keeping. Applications for registration for a TSC number are, thereafter, processed within 30 days of the submission date.
How To Apply For TSC Jobs Once In The System
Visit the Teachers Service commissions (TSC) online portal by using the link https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke/
Once you sign into the portal, you will see a link titled ‘active adverts for teachers’, click on it. The resultant page will be the E-Recruitment portal that has a list of the open vacancies.
Scroll to your desired post and click on ‘actions’ on the far right.
Once on the page, you will be presented with two options ‘View/ apply’, you can view the details of the job then apply for the post.
You can then enter your Surname, ID, and TSC numbers to proceed.
Fill in the details that follow, they include Basic, Professional, and other details to complete the application.
