Here Are New Covid-19 Symptoms To Look Out For

As virus numbers spike again across the country, medical practitioners have in recent weeks raised concern over what appears to be a third wave of COVID-19 following a gradual increase in the number of infections recorded.
At one point, the World Health Organization (WHO) told the world to prepare for the virus was not going away any time soon. True to their word, the Covid-19 virus has been growing stronger with each passing day. Currently, there are new strains of the virus.
A number of new suspected symptoms of coronavirus have been highlighted in a new study. Similarities were found amongst people including a number of skin issues like rashes and lesions that could mean you have contacted COVID-19.
The most common symptoms of Covid-19 are cough, high temperature, fever, and loss of taste and smell are well-known and suffered by many.
Data from the COVID Symptom Study says that characteristic skin rashes and ‘COVID fingers and toes’ should be considered as key diagnostic signs of the disease, and can occur in the absence of any other symptoms 8.8 percent of people reporting a positive coronavirus swab test had experienced a skin rash as part of their symptoms, compared to 5.4 percent of people with a negative test result.

On Monday 8th March, the Ministry Of Health announced that 337 people tested positive for COVID-19 out of a sample size of 2,924 tested in the last 24 hours, taking the total confirmed infections to 109,164.
From the cases, 311 are Kenyans while 26 are foreigners; 198 are males and 139 are females, while the youngest is a one-month-old infant and the oldest is 85.
According to CS Kagwe, 53 patients recovered from the coronavirus; 32 from the Home-Based and Isolation Care while 21 were discharged from various health facilities, taking total recoveries to 87,623. CS Kagwe however also noted that three patients succumbed to COVID-19, pushing the cumulative fatalities to 1,879.
