Here are the simple steps to follow to get back your NHIF card

  1. Visit either the National Bank, Equity Bank, or Co-op Bank near you.
  2. Pay the money to either of the Banks
  3. Take the bank slip to any branch or Huduma Centre near you so they can print a new card for you.

  1. Go to: NHIF registration portal
  2. Click Self Employed
  3. Enter your National ID/Passport/Alien ID
  4. Fill in all other form fields.
  5. Attach a Scanned Copy of Your ID or passport.
  6. Attach Passport Size Photo.
  7. If married, attach your spouse’s Marriage Certificate.
  8. Click to Confirm. Your application will be submitted if you filled all the details correctly

Paying for NHIF through M-Pesa Pay bill

Below are steps on how to pay for NHIF contribution via the M-Pesa Pay bill.

  1. Choose the Pay Bill option
  2. Enter the NHIF Business no.200222
  3. Enter the contributor’s national ID number as the account number
  4. Enter amount
  5. Enter your M-PESA pin and confirm the details.
  6. Choose the Pay Bill option
  7. Enter the NHIF Business no.200222
  8. Enter the contributor’s national ID number as the account number
  9. Enter amount
