Destination Liechtenstein, officially the Principality of Liechtenstein, is a small landlocked country in the Upper Rhine Valley between Austria in the east and Switzerland in the west.
The development of telecommunications in Liechtenstein is roughly equivalent to the average of the European Union. Under the country code +423, there were a total of 61,627 connections in 2020. Among them were 48,904 mobile phones, which corresponds to an average of 1.3 per person. In the EU, this figure is 1.2 mobile phones per person.

With about 14,278 web hosts, Liechtenstein is below the world’s average population. At the end of 2020, 2,000 million of these, or about 14 percent, were secured with SSL or comparable encryption.
Following closely is Iceland which managed to bring at least 100Mbps to 99.9% of its population in 2021 and Andorra which has 92% of its population as internet users. The country enjoys excellent connectivity.

Senegal and Mali now have the fastest internet speeds in Africa, with Kenya falling below several other countries.
The Speedtest Global Index shows that Kenya has relinquished its position to Senegal, whose fixed broadband speed was ranked at position 105 globally in 2021. The country registered speeds of 35.01 Megabits per second (Mbps).
