Government Announces Permanent And Pensionable Jobs, How To Apply

The government has advertised job vacancies for permanent and pensionable jobs after the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) announced 36 vacancies.

According to a notice dated Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the state office, headed by Immaculate Kassait, advertised for jobs ranging from managerial to office assistants and accountants. The advert stated that the application window closes on Wednesday, October 26.

Employees who will be contacted will be pocketing a monthly salary starting from Ksh23,000 to Ksh248,000 depending on the job scale and will also enjoy the house, commuter, and leave allowances.

In addition, the employees will also receive 30 working days of annual leave per financial year and will get medical coverage as well as other benefits.

Those seeking to serve as assistant data commissioner in the registration or inspection and compliance wings will earn between Ksh 183,570 and Ksh 248,014 with a house allowance of Ksh50,000 as well as a Ksh16,000 commuter allowance.

The principal accountant will be eligible to a pay between Ksh 128,684 and Ksh 197,676 while regular accountants will pocket between Ksh 62,339 and Ksh 78,725. Employees in the lowest-ranked position of office assistant will receive between Ksh 23,483 and Ksh 30,529.

Other listed positions are principal data protection officers in the regional offices which attracted 8 positions, senior data protection officers in the regional offices which have five slots as well as assistant office administrators that has five vacancies.
