But is not just Azimio that is planning to have protests on Wednesday (July 12, 2023.) There shall be at least three protests in Nairobi alone, meaning the country is about to witness one of the biggest showdowns ever witnessed.

Taxi association protests are set for this Wednesday. Taxi-hailing apps announced a nationwide strike. They have highlighted several key concerns that they seek to address, which include; insecurity, escalating fuel prices, and pay rates set by digital companies.

In what might change everything, PSV Protests are also scheduled to take place. Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) issued a 21-day strike notice over the mandatory re-testing exercise conducted by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) with the deadline lapsing on Wednesday.

Supported by long-distance drivers and boda boda operators, the PSV operators argued that the mandatory re-testing was punitive and aimed at frustrating motorists.
