Equities Turnover Back Up 20.7% To End At Ksh 126.5 Million

Turnover increased by 20.7% to KES 126.5Mn up from KES 104.8Mn the previous trading day. Local investors were the dominant players on the day. They accounted for 51.4% of the total market turnover.

Foreign investors were bearish on key blue chips to print net outflows of KES 67.83Mn in the day.

Safaricom was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 41.8% of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at KES 52.9Mn – with net outflows amounting to KES 48.8Mn.

Fixed Income Turnover increased by 89.0% to KES 4.07Bn up from KES 2.15Bn the previous trading day.

The IFB segment was the highest-grossing segment of the day – accounting for 71.03% of trades above KES 50Mn.

IFB1/2023/6.5 was the most frequently traded paper of the day.
