KUCCPS Reopens Portal For KMTC Students, How To Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the reopening of its online application portal for students seeking admission to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) after failing to secure slots during the initial application phase.
This decision is aimed at filling the remaining vacancies in various KMTC courses ahead of the upcoming March 2025 intake.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday 26th, KUCCPS stated that there are still open slots in 21 KMTC courses, and eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline.
The application window, which reopened on February 28, 2025, and it will remain accessible for one week and officially close on March 4, 2025.
“KUCCPS has reopened the online application portal to fill vacancies in 21 KMTC courses for the March 2025 intake. The portal will remain open until March 4, 2025,” the placement service stated in its official communication.
Additionally, KUCCPS extended an invitation to all interested students, particularly those who were unsuccessful in securing admission during the previous application round. How to apply
To apply for the available slots, students are required to visit the KUCCPS online application portal at https://students.kuccps.net.
Upon accessing the portal, applicants will need to log in using their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number, the year they sat for their KCSE examination, and a password.
KUCCPS has advised students to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or birth certificate number as their default password in case they have not set up a custom password.
Once logged in, applicants can browse through the available courses, select their preferred programs, and submit their applications for consideration. KUCCPS has urged students to ensure they meet the specific entry requirements for their chosen courses before submitting their applications.
This latest announcement comes just a month after KUCCPS initially opened its portal for applications to KMTC and TVET courses.
The first application phase, which was launched on January 8, 2025, targeted students interested in pursuing diploma and certificate programs in medical and technical fields.
The portal’s reopening demonstrates KUCCPS’s commitment to ensuring that all available training opportunities are filled, enabling more students to access quality education and professional training.
KUCCPS has encouraged all eligible students to take advantage of this second application window and apply before the deadline. Interested applicants are urged to visit the portal immediately to avoid last-minute rushes and potential system congestion.
Applicants can contact KUCCPS through its official communication channels, including its website and social media platforms, for further inquiries and assistance.
