TSC Releases List Of Teachers Promoted In 2025, Here’s How To Check

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially released the names of teachers who have been promoted to higher grades following a rigorous interview process conducted earlier this year.
The announcement, made on April 2, 2025 by TSC marks a significant milestone in the career progression of thousands of teachers across the country.
According to the TSC statement, a total of 25,252 teachers have been promoted after successfully passing the interview process that took place in January and February.
This comes nearly a year after 36,505 teachers were elevated to higher grades in March 2024, underscoring the commission’s continued commitment to career advancement within the teaching profession.
The Interview process for post-primary school teachers, including those in secondary schools and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), was conducted between January 27 and February 6, 2025.
Meanwhile, primary school teachers underwent their interviews earlier, between January 13 and January 23, 2025. These interviews were held across various TSC centers nationwide to ensure accessibility and fairness for all applicants.

To ensure a transparent selection process, TSC appointed panels comprising Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs), Human Resource Officers, and Sub-County Directors to oversee the interviews.
These panels were responsible for verifying documents, assessing qualifications, and ensuring that applicants met all the necessary criteria. Teachers who attended the interviews were required to present their identification documents, academic certificates, and other essential credentials for validation.
Initially, TSC had advertised a total of 25,288 promotion slots for both primary and post-primary teachers. The first round of advertisements, published between November 12 and November 18, 2024, included 5,690 positions for school administrators.
In addition, the commission announced the availability of 19,943 teaching positions across various job groups, ranging from C1 to D3, on December 17, 2024.
Breaking down the allocations, 9,179 of the promoted positions were assigned to post-primary institutions, ensuring that secondary school teachers and TTC instructors had ample opportunities for career growth.
Meanwhile, 16,109 slots were designated for primary school educators, reinforcing TSC’s commitment to strengthening the foundational levels of education.
