MyCredit and Enkisoma Africa Sign a KES 1.2 billion MOU to Fuel Digital Transformation in Kenyan Private Schools

MyCredit Limited, a licensed Digital Credit Provider (DCP) and Enkisoma Africa Limited, a leading independent education technology company, today announced a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide comprehensive financing solutions for educational institutions seeking to digitize their learning environments. The strategic partnership is set to increase access to digital learning tools, including computer labs, laptops, software, and educational content, for schools across the country.

The collaboration addresses one of the most significant hurdles for schools, the high initial capital outlay for technology infrastructure. Under the agreement, MyCredit Limited will leverage its specialized financing product, Kuza Elimu (Swahili for “Grow Education”), to fund the purchase of equipment and assets supplied by Enkisoma Africa.

Speaking at the MOU signing, MyCredit Managing Director, Mr. Wangaruro Mbira, stated, “This partnership is a game-changer for educational institutions that have struggled with the capital expenditure required to digitize. The Kuza Elimu product is specifically designed to remove those financial barriers, and by collaborating with Enkisoma Africa, we ensure that the financing is tied directly to high-quality technology and comprehensive, long-term support”.

MyCredit has committed KES 1.2 billion to enhance digital learning nationwide and expand access to modern education technology. The initiative will begin with a pilot program involving 150 private schools to raise awareness and improve digital penetration nationwide.
