10 Crazy Things That “Prophet Owuor” Told His Followers

The debate about “Prophet” Dr. David Owuor is raging across the country. The man with a long beard and who lives lavishly more than a king, recently claimed to have healed a patient who lived with HIV and AIDS. He says he speaks with God and God tells him what to do directly.
Some say he is a conman. Some say he is just another Yesu Wa Tongaren but with nice suits and speaks the Queen’s language. We have documented some of the crazy things that Owuor has told his followers, and to some extent, only fools can believe:
He personally speaks with God face-to-face: He has repeatedly stated that God speaks to him directly, audibly, and in detailed conversations, giving him instructions about nations and events. At one time, he claimed to have received a WhatsApp message from God in Heaven.
He has visited heaven multiple times: Owuor has described being taken to heaven, seeing God’s throne, the Lamb, angels, and even specific rooms prepared for the faithful. He says at one point, he sat on God’s right-hand side, the side dedicated to Jesus.
He controls rain, storms, and weather: In several crusades, he has claimed that God allows him to command rain to stop or start, with followers citing specific rallies as proof. The man says he is the one who sends Tsunamis to countries that “defy the Lord.”
He raises the dead: His ministry frequently claims miraculous resurrections, with testimonies of people allegedly declared dead and later revived through prayer. He is said to have raised a woman from the dead somewhere in the Rift Valley.
He foretells global disasters with precise symbolism: He often claims to foresee earthquakes, tsunamis, pandemics, plane crashes, and wars—sometimes describing them years in advance using visions and metaphors. He says he even foretold what was to happen to Haiti.
He is the end-times prophet sent to prepare the world: He presents himself as the final prophet before the return of Jesus Christ, tasked with preparing the global Church for the rapture. He says his wrath is more dangerous than that of the angels.
Nations are judged based on how they treat him: He has suggested that countries which reject his message or mistreat him invite divine judgment, while those that honor him receive blessings. He has threatened to destroy Kenya if the country continues to defy him.
He knows the timing and sequence of end-time events: While stopping short of giving an exact date for the rapture, he claims detailed knowledge of the order and signs leading to it. Even Jesus has no idea when the world shall end, but Owuor knows.
Diseases vanish instantly at his meetings: His crusades often include claims of instant healing from cancer, HIV, blindness, paralysis, and deformities—sometimes without medical verification. When diseases see him, they tremble in fear.
Angels physically accompany him: He has said angels walk with him, speak to him, and even appear visibly at his services, directing his movements and messages. This man has meetings with angels the same way William Ruto has cabinet meetings while taking strong tea.
