Bankers Dominate the Top Movers’ Table at NSE as Equity Group Rules

Top Movers

Equity Group was the top mover of the day having sold 4.73 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank who sold 859,300 shares.

Barclays Bank Kenya sold 856,200 shares while Safaricom PLC had 748,100 shares traded in on Tuesday. ARM Cement, on the other hand, sold 451,200 shares.

Top Gainers

Car and General (K) was the top gainer of the day. The company gained 10.00 percent at the price of 18.70 shillings per share.

Uchumi Supermarket and CIC Insurance gained the same as Car and General (K), 10.00 percent each at the price of 1.65 and 4.95 shillings per share respectively.

Trans-Century and Nairobi Business Ventures gained 9.72 and 8.11 percent at the price of 3.95 and 2.00 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

East African Cables was the top loser of the day with 8.97 percent at the price of 3.55 shillings per share.

I & M Holdings lost 7.89 percent at the price of 105.00 shillings per share while Deacons (East Africa) lost 3.85 percent at the price of 1.25 shillings per share.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company and Nation Media Group lost 3.62 and 2.16 percent at the price of 6.65 and 90.50 shillings per share respectively.
